Somehow, someway, it started off from wanting to make your average power isekai fantasy to then taking it a bit seriously with a side of bullshitry for my own amusement, and now treating it like my own child, I don't know.... it's a roller coaster.

I started off and even now tend to write cool scenes from works I like… but realize now that even though I can recreate scenes, I can’t come to truly appreciate my own work like others.

Even though I put so much effort and attention to detail crafting scenes, how can I hate or feel so indifferent towards my own work once it’s finally finished? How do people love what they write?

I guess this is just a me thing or maybe something others can relate to somehow.

What about you? Do you love your work?
I adore my work. Every single bit fills me with joy to write and reread.
I write as if I am truly there, moving through the world, and breathing and enjoying every sight. Making the reader get exactly what I imagine is one of the most enjoyable parts of writing. And reading my own story, written for me with all that I want to have in a story and going in every direction that I wish to walk, from a reader's point of view (comments and reviews, whether negative or positive, get me in that mindset) makes it all fresh and new for me. I get re-explore my wild characters and odd scenery as I look at what the reader enjoyed. It is in a whole new point of view for me, and I can then revise it.

I do love it. Half my daydreaming is about stuff I've already written some of or intend to write. Now if only I could write it, but too busy hyperfocusing on Tears of the Kingdom right now, and Pikmin 4 is gonna get me soon. Lotta ups and downs either way though.

It's preferential. I like the middle part of my current chapters (where the action is), but the start and current chapter (resting phase) is leaving me a little bit frustrated
