I write till a writer's stop hits me or till I reach my 1k word goal at least.

I usually write between 1k and 2k a day and usually I write for an hour to five hours depending on the day and my mood. Though recently all I've done is editing. I'm still writing the same amount but all it is is writing descriptions and altering dialogue. When I first started I could barely write 500 words in a day. It takes time and practice.

The amount can depend on the day but I would say 300 words minimum. maximum whatever I felt like. I typically run out of steam by 2k

I write in a paper notebook first, so I have no idea. That is, back before I had a baby sucking on my nipples all the time and still had time to write.

I write around 2k a day. At least I would if I didn't have school work tying me down every goddamn second. Seriously, I'd be releasing a chapter a day if it weren't for the fact I'm in school. Granted I'm graduating in a month so I can finally focus on my writing.

I don’t write everyday, but when I do, I usually type one chapter straight from beginning to the end (around 1,500 - 4,000 words depending on the chapter). I don’t know how long it takes; when I’m in the zone, time just melts away. The next thing I know, I just finish the chapter, feeling satisfied.

Sometime if I don’t care about publishing at all—if I just write purely for fun without expecting anyone to read it—I can type up to 10,000 words straight. After that, I’ll feel totally exhausted (mentally). I’m trying to keep up that pace nowadays, pumping a lot of chapters and then stock it before releasing.

I find it more important to think every day. Yeah, 2k a day is a good goal, but the story needs to be good. So i think about scenes then sleep on it. If i remember it in the morning, its got staying power.

Everyday when you type, how many words do you write an average and how long do you write for?
I've made the decision to write at "pulp writer speed," which is a million or more words a year. In 2021 I wrote 3,000 words a day seven days a week for six months, took a six month break from writing, and now since January first this year, I've written 3,000 words a day seven days a week without fail. For the last ten days, I've been writing 6,000 words a day without failing on a single day. I feel like 6,000 words a day is my new norm, but when I have busy days, even that is pretty tough sometimes.

It depends. If I'm in my stride, I can get 3k done in less than two hours. Usually I can write about 2,000 words an hour if I sprint using fifteen minute timers. If I'm really slow, I wrote about a thousand words an hour, but I'm not sure I'm ever that slow anymore.

Used to do 2.5k words but I seem to have quit writing.
Tbh, having a physically demanding job has made me a lot happier than writing ever has.

I've been hitting 2k consistent words almost every day recently. It'd usually take an hour and a half, maybe less.
