I used to drink because it was easier to drink than to learn how to destress and relax. Would definitely not recommend drinking heavily. I can't drink anymore anyway but I enjoy making it and will continue to do so as I have since age 14.

I never got drunk enough to do stupid stuff I wouldn't do anyway. Maybe it helps that I'm almost as wide as I'm large or that I dislike the taste of alc, but I've been the one that usually carries or drives the others home. It's also way more fun to remind others of their bullshit than it is to do it yourself.
