I write on my phone and iPad. I've noticed I type way faster on a touch screen. I can also write whenever and wherever I want

I’m the same way. I can no longer comfortably type on a laptop. I much prefer writing my stories on my phone.

How the hell do you cheat writing?

I start writing but whenever I get stuck, tired, can’t find a word or have a hard time deciding, I press a button and a robot finishes the sentence for me or writes a couple sentences, then I pick or edit those and keep going. Makes it easy to write 5k in a couple hours, when I have the time.

Ignore grammar and spelling and you can write pretty fast... but seriously, practice makes perfect, so keep writing.

Currently I can roughly write only 500 words a day. How can I improve this?

Start writing a rough draft for what it actually is and stop trying to perfect/edit the first run-through. Good luck and beware of burnout if you choose to force the increase in word count instead of letting it occur naturally.

I write much faster when I take the time to fully imagine a scene before I try to type it. I go back and edit once the full scene is completely written.
