Writing How do I write a System?

You either write an engaging story where you have a "system" as another force of nature that limits people as much as it empowers them...

or you go the path of least resistance and asspull an RPG sheet and stuff it so full with numbers and powers nobody even cares if you only ever use a fraction of it because "numbers go brrrrrrr, wheeee!!!" and the readers will eat your s*it because of it.

I kinda need a new lore about this system thing in my novel, it would be the crucial part of the series.

Oh, I'm currently writing a novel that parodies every generic stories as the MC of that novel experience it himself. Just probably gonna use a system thing to make the plot thickens though idk how to write it myself considering I always ignore LitRPG Novels
