Switch up genres. Harem is formulaic. So is shounen, shoujo, xianxia, wuxia, and every power fantasy.
The seinen genre has great variety. From Hell Girl and Gantz to Ghost in the Shell and Ergo Proxy.
I don't think you need to lower anything. What you really need to to have a break from a genre for a few years so you can come back in when the trope meta has changed.
