Alternatively, based on my own experience, accidentally wait until her friend group exiles her for petty reasons and then invite her to play D&D or some other TTRPG with you as the GM.
At this point, you need to routinely talk to her but out of sheer awkwardness/ attempted politeness never reveal that you are attracted to her. Do not pick up on any of her hints, so that she assumes you are in fact gay. Being actively involved in theatre will really help clinch the gay assumption. It’s vital to the process. Eventually mention that you find her attractive in passing, surprising her and prompting her to ask you out. Make a surprised pikachu face, but accept.

It’s a long windup, but it’s had a 100% success rate for me.
