Honestly, sometimes I hate it when you turn a medium into live action

I once made a joke in the 19th chapter of my first book. Where the second main was questioned on why he decided to disguise himself as a vampire out of all the creatures he could have done.

His response? He said they are cool, at least that’s what the young folks seem into nowadays. ?
the story I wrote is no longer in existance. I nuked my now-former online presence when I pivoted toward smut. That said, I had typical "fiery death" vampires, but they were the good guys and were generally regarded as weaker than the wolves. The wolves were bad (even kidnapping the vamp-leader's daughter, who was a forever ten-year-old, due to vampirism). I changed a few things from typical movie lore (stronger vamps, good guy wolves), and i think it worked out fairly well. But it was overall, very poorly written.

A lot of my stuff was poorly written, but I rewrote them over and over again. On the topic of this, the reason the second main disguised themselves were for two reasons.

1. He was really injured after a confrontation with an antagonist.

2. It was the best way to get the main to awaken. By the time his identity is found out by the main, they would achieve stage 8 out of 9. This meant they were very close to completely awakening.

As you can guess, the next section is the final stretch for the first book. Chapters 20 to 25(Finale), the finale is when they completely awaken. So for one chapter, the readers get to see the main unshackled with the completion for their version I of their strongest ability.

:blobtaco:

The main is considered the True Enemy, but their actions shown depicts something else. And as noted in the book, the second followed their request to seal away their memories, and thus their power. He went through a hell of a lot of work to make them into a legend as well, awaiting the day they would return. :meowsip:

By the end of the first book, you see the many they took in come back to give them aid.

Anyway, very complex story. This one went through so many revisions, got additions, changes, etc. :blob_blank:

The point is, maybe you can make the story work out if you give it another shot.

lol it was years ago. I'm on my 3rd computer since then, so it would be a complete rewrite from the ground up. And I've currently got 3 active stories and another probably 12 waiting to be written - I'm actually adopting out starts, currently. looking for people that are able and willing to take a few off my hands lol.

ahhh, always fun! I recently rewrote my first story on this profile. Lay the Dragon. The original was... *shivers*. Seriously, it was rushed, unpaced, made no sense, smut scenes popping up out of nowhere. The rewrite, I'm actually kinda proud of. it has a few minor details that could've been explained better, but most of my readers understood the hinted causes for it.

I can relate. The good thing about rewrites, is that you get another chance to make another impression.

My original was so cringe, I can still clearly see it. ?

I don’t know how peeps could like that. Though, bit by bit, and basically like over a hundred rewrites. It got to the version it is now.

Most of my viewership build came from my constant rewrites. I think each rewrite brought in a thousand or so if not more.

And the better it got, the more that came on. I feel kinda bad, since they want me to continue writing more books.

However, I already decided that I am wrapping up.

There are 9 books in the series. Book 2 is being rewritten, Book 3 is getting steady releases but still being rewritten.

Book 4 is done, but I do have to rewrite a few in it. Book 5 and 6 is done. Book 7 I am rewriting, Book 8 I have to rewrite a few in it, and Book 9 is done.

So now I just have a book with post story stuff, but it is not a priority. I’ve already written the end of the series, so now just finishing up some needed stuff.

I don't even watch live action regular movies anymore. I prefer my Japanese cartoons over real actors portraying characters.
