Hey folks,
It’s been almost a month since I started posting my novel Cyborg in a Fantasy World, and I’ve just hit 38 chapters. I'm sharing my current stats and would love to hear your thoughts on how it's doing so far.
? Quick Stats Summary:
  • 1.8K Total Views
  • 43 Readers
➡️ Note: For the past month, I’ve been doing daily releases — one chapter per day, no breaks.
But starting next week, I’m planning to switch to 3/weekly releases instead.
Will that hurt my story’s momentum or visibility?
I’m genuinely trying to understand if these numbers are decent for a story one month in. Is this normal growth? Slow? Promising?
For those who’ve been on Royal Road longer:
  • How do these stats compare to your first month?
  • What should I watch out for next?
  • Will the release schedule change make things worse?
Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to respond — I’m learning a lot from just being part of this community.

Oh gosh, I don’t know if this will be helpful at all because I have ALSO had these exact same questions lol, but just for the sake of providing another point of comparison:

-I posted 10 chapters during my first month and I think most of them were on the same three days LMAO

-From March 25-April 25 I had 4.5k total views, 88 readers, and 103 favorites

-If it’s beneficial for you, I’ve now been posting semi-regularly for 3 months and I’m currently sitting at around 15k total views, 190 readers, and 324 favorites. As far as I can tell from looking at other stories similar to mine posted around the same time, that seems to be about average for the middle of the pack. It’s not enough to get you on Trending, but it’s enough to ensure slow and steady growth if that’s what you’re after

addendum: I AM writing a GL/fantasy/yandere combo which does tend to perform strongly on SH, and I’d wager that explains any significant gap in our numbers—and still, even writing in a favorable genre, I’m really Just Kind of Average stats-wise LMAO

addendum 2: I usually post once a week (with uh… some skipped weeks in the middle). I’m also trying to move towards a 2-3x weekly release schedule, and from what I’ve seen and read that seems to be the sweet spot for regular growth

By posting so many chapters so fast, you basically destroyed your ratings by being shadowbanned from the main page.
Don't go more than 3-4 a day. Once a day (maybe two), at the same hour, would be the best if you want to post a lot.

As for the story, your synopsis gives me a "nope, I'm out" reaction, and the first chapter is similar. It feels like you tossed it into GPT, said "pls fix!" and then copy-pasted it here. Not something I see myself reading, even if the premise sounds interesting.
TBH, your post, OP, also feels like that >.>

I don't want to be that guy, but here's the truth. It ain't doing good. That synopsis you wrote using gpt is pretty bad. Most readers will stay away from it.

Scribble Hub doesn't have any comparable algorithm to the Royal Road.

It isn't made to be even remotely competitive to the level of RR, and ultimately having followers doesn't matter that much.

Well, it does matter, because it is nice to have people reading your story, every reader matters from the very human perspective.

But algorithm? Nope, it does nothing.

To count towards trending, you need a burst of presumably unique viewers, achieved in burst, in last 24 hours.

Trending on the Royal Road is different, the trending on the Royal Road is the steady growth of followers over the long period, usually for the story updated slowly.

The Rising Star on the Royal Road is the exponential gain of followers per day and chapter.

Nothing like this exists on this site.

I tried to run it through a detector and that synopsis is not AI generated. It's oddly worded, and those detectors aren't reliable at all, but still...

24% change that the post is AI generated.

That's all I will say about "reliability" of those checkers;

Nah. There are far too many odd phrases that AI wouldn't use.

Best explanation would be rephrasing service from Google or similar, but not applied to every sentence.

If you combine all three stories I started with, you have my stats at the end of month one (my only real "success" here took off about midway through month two - ironically at about the time I STOPPED having a consistent upload schedule!), so you seem to be doing well as far as I can tell.
