Don't do metal glint like that my man, the word cleaver confuses me and I had to reread like thrice

If your novel with this cover was released in 2020 or earlier, your story would have found readers. But now, it's difficult; new novels are released every day. If your cover isn't visually appealing, potential new readers will ignore it. The current recommended cover formula is an anime/LN-style cover with one or more waifutable characters (who should, of course, be polite and elegant). Imho

I found it hard to read the title, especially the word "cleaver". As @Eldoria said, I've been told that anime-style covers attract more people.

We'll help you tweak it. Just keep posting questions. You do want a good cover. You could use an AI to do it. I know people want to do their own cover by their own efforts, but its too competitive to not have a cover with bling. BUT there writers who do have homemade covers that aren't always full of bling. An example is Scott Westerfield; if you look at his list of books many of them have covers that are low scale and not that fancy. But his writing is good. He has some fun books too.
