Hiatus?

Well, I'm planning on going on hiatus from my current novel and plan on starting another one. So, how do I do it? I mean, should I just take a leave without saying anything or, inform the readers?

I just put a hiatus announcement at the end of the last chapter I scheduled / posted. But I agree; letting your readers know that you'll be stopping, whether indefinitely or just for some fixed length of time, is absolutely a good idea. Readers of web serials do have to accept that reading works by amateur authors, for free, comes with the risk that the work might not finish. But no one likes being left hanging for months without notice.

Take the time to write a few lines to explain the reason to your readers. You wouldn't want to hear curses and disappoint your loyal readers.
