Hi I'm new and I have some questions about how Scribble Hub Works.

Hello, I'm a new author to ScribbleHub I'm writing a work called "Through The Eras" it's still in its infancy but I plan to develop it more.

I was wondering what the "views" even mean. Does that mean someone clicked on it? Did someone click on it and read a chapter?

Next the number of readers. How does the ScribbleHub determine if someone is a reader? Is it based on the consistency of reading a work?

Views just have to click on it. Readers means they added it to a reading list.

There is a tutorial about the site that goes into this a bit. Anyone who loads a page of your book is considered a reader unless they later remove it from their reading list as far as I can tell (I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong), while views refers to anyone who viewed the chapter, whether they read it or not (and any time you reload it, load it to read comments, or edit it I believe that adds a view as well).

"Readers" is just the number of people who currently have the story on a reading list. They do have to physically add it for it to count.

"Views" does have some filtering to exclude reloads, etc. but is generally the number of times someone has opened the page.
I believe the filtering is done by username if signed in and IP address if not.

Do Scribblehub offer contracts as well. If they do what are requirements to get a contract.

No this site is very author focused in terms of you having to build up the community and secure funds through your own avenues, the site helps with that through some plug ins to popular donation/subscriber pay models like patreon, kofi, paypal and subscribestar.

There's no inherent system to try to lock you into the site and there's no rules against cross-posting to other sites, however you aren't allowed to maliciously apply partial chapters/cut content to advertise to other platforms.

Views are the interactions with your story. A unique interaction, I presume, to circumvent bots. Someone clicks and displays your story, and you get a view.

Views are irrelevant on the Royal Road, but important on the Scribble Hub.

Views factor into what is in the trending on the front page. How the trending list works (and thus how to get on it) is the secret to prevent abuse, but views are very clearly an important factor for trending if you pay attention to it.

The readers are followers - people with accounts that decided to follow your story specifically.
