Come up with a great idea then said... This idea is awesome! For... the end of the book.

Then find yourself writing the rest of the story just to reach that idea, the whole time going, "I don't want to ruin the story by telling the cool idea early, but I REALLY want to share the cool idea!" to the point where you start to flounder?

And then the book become popular and the end don't happen until you run out of ideas.
Ah, the Shounen problem.

When it's a cash cow and should have ended long ago, but ending the series would put an end to cash flow.
