A true dynamic duo since Roman times, if Spain joined the axis during WW2 we would all be speaking Latin. Also Columbus! What a guy. Truly a great Italian up there with Mussolini, Mario, Julius Caesar, Giorno Giovanni, and the Sopranos. Though Leif Erikson and other figures have discovered America before Columbus, the reason why Colombus is celebrated is because of the fact that Columbus' discovery had very notable influences on the world, while the others resulted in practically limited or no change to society and the world. In other words, Columbus shouldn't be celebrated for finding the new world, but for the lasting consequences out of his discovery
