Frankly, I'm still waiting for the day when someone writes a 'Reincarnated as an NPC' existential horror story. Imagine being reborn into a game, knowing it's a game, yet being bound by all its little scripts and silly rules... While there are actual player characters out there.

As an act of rebellion you purposefully sell the players faulty ass equipment and see them keep dying over bad RNG before the game was eventually panned and shut down, killing your existence within the game and leaving your fate uncertain

There's a JN that has a person reincarnated as a villain mob in an rpg, where he doesn't say what he intends to say and his actions are not what he fully intended either.
I think it's called something like 'only death flags', or something along those lines. The thing in the story is that certain events are scripted to happen no matter what he tries to do to stop/mitigate it. Him intervening results in bad things happening for his own character which results in the other people in the world seeing him as evil, etc...
