Are there any SH works that's got a great opening line/ paragraph that you really like?

I am not talking about if the story is good or if it gets better or worse, just the opening line.

Bones round!

Are there ones that make you roll your eyes and just want to finish chapter 1 ASAP, just to get the hell away from that opening?

Edit: Don't HAVE to be SH novels

There are no opening lines that I don't really like or really like, but let's look at some of the trending novels' opening lines and see if they are good or bad at hooking me in (the opening lines, not the novels).

1) Sovereign of Wrath
I should have dressed warmer.
I like it. It is conveying a character's current situation in a very nice way, immediately putting us into the scene.

2) I am not a daughter of the vampire queen!
For centuries, the human race struggled to maintain its place in the world among other races.
It's italicized. Frankly, it doesn't catch my attention. I already feel an infodump.

3) Doom Valley Prep School
The day my life utterly and completely changed started off perfectly normally.
Neither here nor there really.

4) DxD: Matsuda!
Well shit I am dead.
Well shit indeed, my friend. It's okay, happens sometimes.

Now let's rank them:
1) Sovereign of Wrath
2) DxD: Matsuda!
3) Doom Valley Prep School
4) I am not a daughter of the vampire queen!

So, how would you rank them by how much you like them as stories? Does the current ranking change much?

"Mikado Ryuuko is the greatest living creature to ever exist." From I Am the Greatest.
The line was the first sentence in the synopsis. It was such a giga chad line that i can't help but to read more.

Your edit said it didn't need to be SH. My favorite book opening comes from Monster Hunter International:

"On one otherwise normal Tuesday evening I had the chance to live the American dream. I was able to throw my incompetent jackass of a boss from a fourteenth-story window."

It simply needs to convey a lot of information within one sentence.

Spamming Infodump in first chapter is BAD idea. First chapter is basically summary's of what recently happened, why are things this way (as far as MC know), what is the situation right now, and How to proceed.

You must also set what to expect within the first chapter, so that you can alter and twist the event happened next to subvert the reader expectations within the next 5-10 chapter.

World building is a must during the first 100 chapter. Even MHA has 200 chapter of world building and infodump disguised as normal event plot before real plot stuff happening. (MHA manga/anime isn't bad, MHA fanboy & fandom is.)

If you're desperate for reader engagement, You can try to put extreme "shocking revelation" things that are supposed to happen after 50-100 chapter and cram them within the first 10 chapter. You can broke & shock the plot and make the world more chaotic than before by broking the power balance a bit.

It's like shooting a meteor to a perfectly fine city you've build for hours. It might be good way to show people personality and how it holds up during this events.

But make sure it won't get forgotten. And you need to be sure there's more than this "shocking revelation" after this within the next 50 chapter.
