It's a useful resource when needed.I've seen quite a concerning number of people who have a therapist in the first place. Is it really common?

Now, now, let's not tempt me)In reality, it's the other way around.
If you are a famous criminally insane patient in the nuthouse, it is more likely someone would read your work to build their career of analyzing you.
Why would you want to gain attention of someone whose position is spelled the-rapist?Now, now, let's not tempt me)
You tell people you write? I thought we were all reclusive and secretly ashamed of being creatives and hiding that shit.He said he's read my book and wants to talk to me about it. Says that it may help him to understand me. I'm concerned.
Probably the smutYou tell people you write? I thought we were all reclusive and secretly ashamed of being creatives and hiding that shit.
Real talk though, I literally could not tell anyone I do this. I would die from shame and anxiety. Could be the smut, but who knows?![]()
a few years back, a mate of mine was uber-interested in Freud and read too many psychoanalytics books. I had to remind him that he was a normal kid before his time in the army.Sounds like he was trained in Freudian psychology. That school of thinking says everything is a result of repressed childhood trauma. A common outcome of that kind of treatment is the patient coming out with a hatred of their parents.
And it's very hard to get into if you are not suicidal or in a state of mind judged as bad.I've seen quite a concerning number of people who have a therapist in the first place. Is it really common?
It's these youngsters and their need to "get in touch with their feelings". In my day that was a euphemism.I've seen quite a concerning number of people who have a therapist in the first place. Is it really common?
I honestly have no idea about this stuff, but after consuming Western content for a few years, I've noticed an unusual number of people just casually mentioning they have a therapist, and everybody says nothing about it. Here in Asia, practically no one gets a therapist unless there's a serious mental disorder involved, and I have yet encountered anyone like that. It's these youngsters and their need to "get in touch with their feelings". I under went clinical, institutionalized psychological analysis along with psychology and psychiatry, and come to the conclusion it's all fucking hogwash. I grew up in foster care in my teen years, they had the shrunk-dicks give my head a looking through. Did nothing of help, and I found more mental health help in the forest. If it works for you, it's probably the drugs fooling you.
SSRIs are horrible things.
To my knowledge has the west a bigger mental health issue, when it at least comes to depression. But I think it is just a matter of culture, confucinism which is the basic of a lot eastern cult seems like something that would very much encourage to ignore them or to not mention them.I honestly have no idea about this stuff, but after consuming Western content for a few years, I've noticed an unusual number of people just casually mentioning they have a therapist, and everybody says nothing about it. It is definitely a cultural matter. Asia is much more conservative in general, so I think you're right about that. And I can understand why people in the West have mental problems more often, considering the state of politics there, especially in the US. Holy hell, people there are so divided. To my knowledge has the west a bigger mental health issue, when it at least comes to depression. Everyone has an incest fetish; Sigmund Freud was one of the psychologists to prove that. This is why I don't publish books under my real name, and also why I don't see a therapist.
Imagine you write incest smut.
Then your therapist is like:
"Hey bro... I read your book."
Then you're all like... I ain't gonna **** my family bro! Don't even think you understand me bro!
Not everything is "trauma," but the experiences people went through during development are a huge factor in our lives. People with healthy relationships with their parents look for partners that resemble them, while people with bad relationships with their parents look for replacements in their partners. I do agree that his work is outdated and shouldn't be used nowadays, but it led to better studies and findings later on.Sounds like he was trained in Freudian psychology. This is a forum; mostly social outcasts use them. Normies are on modern social media like Snapchat or Twitter. I kind of wish I could afford one.I've seen quite a concerning number of people who have a therapist in the first place. Is it really common?

Tis a western foilble. Frankly it's caused by an over prescription of SSRIs and the molly coddling of everyone's feeling. I'm starting to sound like my ww2 vet great grandfather.I honestly have no idea about this stuff, but after consuming Western content for a few years, I've noticed an unusual number of people just casually mentioning they have a therapist, and everybody says nothing about it. We are "living" in such an unhealthy environment some some need to convince themselves that their feelings are invalid. It is definitely a cultural matter. Straight males with good relationships with their parents will look for a female that has some qualities like their mom. Straight females with good relationships with their parents will look for males that share qualities with their dad.Sigmund Freud would say everyone has that fetish. Doesn't mean that everyone has to agree with him.
Nobody said it was lost to history.A lot of therapists have studied his method so it is not something that is lost to history.
