So I have an issue that I've been ignoring for a while, and I've been trying to find a solution.
I use Google docs when writing, which is great for authors!
However, when I try to copy chapters from docs and paste them into other websites, it doesn't get pasted the same.... Especially the center align...
When I paste the copied text, it completely ignores all the center-aligned texts...
Any solutions?

It usually has to do with the site you're posting it into as they aren't the same as google docs. Though when you paste it, you should be able to prevent it from changing by using paste without formatting when pasting to another website.

Except for any programs like word, it doesn't paste the same on all websites, including this one.
And I think you misunderstood something. "Paste without formatting" completely removes any format that you've done to your text.
I'm trying to paste the text without changing the format. (in my case the align text)

I had an issue kinda like this for a couple weeks on the site where oddly enough because of the program I was using everything had no special alignment or paragraph breaks. Royal Road allows you to insert a completely clean copy without any extra but other websites allow you to clean up the encoding of text too if that’s the issue. Hope you can figure it out! Might want to suggest it to the bug report.

I see. Nevermind then. I have no clue.

There is this weird thing with most on-site text editors that straight-up ignore text alignments, among other features. I'd recommend keeping notes on the docs file on what you want changed and applying said changes when you eventually CTRL+C/V.

Different apps/sites/softwares use different standards. That's why when you download from google docs, it ask you in what format you want it downloaded. It's because it doesn't readily exist as those formats. Google doc format is not the same as docx. So before you can download it as docx, it needs to convert the file into docx format first.

Therefore, you should not copy paste and expect the formatting to work. Even when it works at first, at some point, it won't. So it's good practice to mark the part that need formatting, copy paste into notepad to remove the formatting, and then copy past the new unformatted text into the target, then you fix the formatting.

Annoying? Yes.
Troublesome? Absolutely.
Rage-inducing? Ofu kosu!

But unless you're a software engineer and can make a one size fits all format, there's nothing much you can do other than just suck it.

Tried.... still, doesn't work.... idk why it doesn't paste the center align format......
The align is always Left, and not how I formatted it...

Google docs, word, and SH have different command/shortcut for aligment setting. By copypasta you will never get it 100% copied over.

Try using html, that will copy it exatly as you want.
