I've begun to move some of my writing from another website onto ScribbleHub, and I've just been wondering if anyone has any advice regarding gaining a following here, or at least getting people to actually take a look at my work.

Having a good synopsis, title, and cover are really important along with keeping to your release schedules. That's just some of the stuff you can do.

For views, you need to advertise.
SH comes with a few ways to do that. A new story will be on the 'Latest Series' tab, which is the best way to advertise initially.

Trending is technically better, but it's not something you can aim for and get easy-peasy.

The most reliable method is the 'Latest Updates' tab. Your story will appear there every time you upload a chapter. To take advantage, you need to upload at various times so that different people will see the story. If you upload at the same time every day, then the same users will see it and either already have it on their list, or just ignore it like they ignored it last time.

There's also 'Similar Stories' and Tags. If you properly apply the 25 tags you're allowed to use, whenever somebody searches for those tags they will see your story. Other stories that have similar tags will link yours on their page as well, meaning if your story is similar to a popular story, it will get more views. It's good to have a mix of popular tags and uncommon tags since that will help people find you. However, you have to remember that any tags you add that don't describe the story will make readers who wanted those tags angry.

Lastly is the Signature on this forum. Anyone who sees your comments will see a link you post there and have the option of following it to your story.

Outside of the inbuilt functions, you can always advertise your story directly on social media sites.
Favorites don't matter, except to boost your self esteem. The only way to get more is to have readers who enjoy clicking the little heart button. You can try to remind them to click it, but since it does nothing there's no point.

Rankings don't matter- sort of. If your story is number one ranked in a tag, then it's the first thing they'll see when they search for that tag. So it indirectly raises view count. That's all.
@WelcomeToSH That link has lots of useful info for new users.
Don't forget to make a signature once it's available so people on the forum can find your story. I think you need to post five message first, or something?

Just post regularly. There are suckers here who would click anything at least once. You can also promote yourself on the forum, just don't be a douche about it and spam everywhere. Spamming is not cool yo!

Wait, I think I never brought up the search function! XD

I usually just complain when people post stuff on the wrong subforums, which is not the case here! >.<
I could swear I've seen you bring it up before, with the really common reposts... weird.

I know you point out when things are in the wrong category, and make sure Agentt behaves. Not sure which of those is more time consuming...

The only subforums I regularly check, are the ones within the "Scribble Hub" subforum, which isn't very active, so it doesn't take long~

I also don't try to hold Agentt back much! xD
