Then there is when the author/director starts worshiping a character/trying to hard to add religious symbolism. Like Snyder’s Superman, where it is cheesy at best or pure cringe at worst.

Forgiving others after any type of betrayal. If that happens, I’m out. That is also why I usually shit on Shounen stories.

Then you'd hate me. I didn't study, was rarely at school, but had a good grade and passed every exam
In elementary school? Yeah sure, that much I was capable of too. I don't believe anyone can finish highschool with good grades without studying.

My late stepdaughter did. It freaked out a few of her teachers - she'd basically show up for tests and once or twice more a week. I'm not even sure how she did it (they tied grades to attendance, since people like her were cutting into the money the schools got from the state, about a year after she graduated).

I guess I easily get triggered by inconsistencies. Like if a character was said to be and shown to be disciplined and well-trained, then suddenly they're wearing the idiot cap and will do something that's severely contrary to what they were supposed to be. Like a knight suddenly rushing in alone into a horde without orders, which caused them their death.

Probably why I take so long to write, cause I keep needing to remember what character does this and that, before continuing. Or I might just forget that one trait, and someone points it out, so it's back to the drawing board I guess.

I find myself really disliking generalist main character.

"Today I will learn lightning."
"Today I will learn fire."
"Today I will learn earth."

Repeat until they can do anything the author can think of.

This really cheapens the character and puts them into mary sue in most cases.
I should prob explain. Basic economics: The cost of something is what someone gives up to get it.

If lightning excludes fire and earth... it is expensive.

If getting lightning doesn't mean that MC can't get earth and fire then, all three abilities are, cheap, in a sense.

I wrote Harem. I dropped it because I was tired of it.
Oh, didn't know that. I'm purely curious, what exactly was the part that made you tired? If I remember correctly, TOFD was doing very well.

Edit: Well played. Can't believe I got fooled so easily.

Thank you, I appreciate your opinion. Unfortunately, I got tired writing Smut and Harem. I cringed whenever I read my chapters.
