Like it's fine to revise your first drafts. I think that's a normal process for all writers. The first draft is meant for revision as it's more about putting your thoughts out rather than actually making the writing cohesive.

Revising it, you check it over for grammar mistakes and make the writing flow.

For all new writers, a helpful tip I would say is: Don't set the bar so high. Understand where you are at, and what kind of goal you should set up for yourself right now. I think the first week/month of posting gives you a benchmark of how many views and readers you get. Used that as a way to set up goals for yourself.

*Example of setting the bar too high: Getting 1000000 views in a month. That's setting the bar too high for yourself because:
1. You don't have a fan base yet so it's difficult to have so many views
2. If you set yourself so high, and if it fails, it messes with your motivation to write

Also, I'm not saying you can't have a goal like this. But understand, that it's not going to happen in a month(Those are extremely rare). So to solve it, you put goals like,

I'm going to hit 100 views, and once you pass that, it's 500, and so on and so on. I think that way is much easier and helps with motivation for new writers. You put smaller goals to reach that higher goal.

Do we know each other? Your name seems familiar, but...
Oh, I’m so sorry. It seems like we’ve only interacted with each other on the RR forums, and it’s whenever I post a thread in General (I ask questions if tropes in my novel were okay, and you’d be one of the first to respond). I don’t tend to forget profile pics, so let me jog your memory, if you don’t mind:

I had a novel with a small following titled “World Story,” but I got a lot of reviews from all the swapping I did with other authors on RR. I reached out to you once for a swap, but it was during the April Writeathon, so I understood why you couldn’t do the same.
