Filter for original works only

To the best of my knowledge there's no way to filter for works that do not have a fandom tag. Leaving that field blank in the series finder allows both original work and fanfiction, and trying to input a tag like "none" doesn't work either, because most original work authors leave the fandom section blank, while "none" is treated as a specific tag. It would be nice to be able to find only original work.

In the Series finder, If you tap the spot again it goes to a red dash which means to exclude that tag.

Your problem is solved.

Yes, but it is a bit convoluted! Not very user-friendly for boomer people!

Easy.
The option to add a fandom tag is only available to authors if "fanfiction" is selected as a genre.
