I read Xianxia because of "Cultivation Chat Group".

And therefore, I associated "Xianxia" with "Funny Chinese Joke memes Trulibulation Funny", instead of merely "Protagonist cultivate strong slap young master and take beauties".

Then, i only read Xianxia with parody or Xianxia with Transmigrated/Reincarnated MC.

Especially the one who's forced to deal with local OP Xianxia MC shenanigans.

Life is too boring without some joke and funny giggles.

I admit to some fascination with Xianxia plot and Xianxia +PLOT. But after 1000+ chapters each of probably 1000+ books. My tastes have become Jaded if you will.

I ditch it for the following reasons:

• BL and GL are not genres I follow, so there is no ditching just not picked up.
• The Author sucks at writing.
• If it is using the standard overdone tropes ad nauseum, unless done very skillfully I am ditching it.
• No spine MC's.
• If its just rapey, MCrapey hidden as something else, I am ditching it.
• Or the "Gotta catch them all" harem, then ditch said harem members everywhere.
• Incest without adult decision making on everyone's part. I disdain incest plot arcs, but I may just roll my eyes and go past it if it is not to annoying or to long. However if its below a certain threshold in age or a certain level of power dynamic.
• It is MTL translations, there are enough decent Xianxia and other such stories out there I no longer need to suffer it to get my fix.
