I really love to write... I really do. I try not to compare myself to others, and when people talk about how their stories are doing, I don’t feel jealous—I just feel sad. I love my story, and I just wish more people could see it. It doesn’t help that I don’t have much social media (I’m 20), so even if I wanted to promote it, it probably wouldn’t work. All I really have are these forums.
I’m not trying to sound cocky, I promise, but I really believe my story can hold its own. It doesn’t have reincarnation, an OP main character, a leveling system, RPG mechanics, smut, or a harem. It’s just pure dark fantasy with some sci-fi elements.
Right now, I’m working through my read-for-reads, so I’m sorry if that’s what you came here for. I guess I just wanted to ask if there’s someone—or maybe a lot of someones—out there who might check out my story.

What exactly do you want to know from your story? Have something specific you want to know, so it'll be easier for potential reviewers to give you feedback that will actually help you improve.

I've expressed this in a few posts before, but I'll it again for you: as long as you continue to write, you will improve. Don't think of your stories so harshly. Not everything you create will be a masterpiece. No one can score 100% at life. Everyone has to grow and develop, just like the characters we create!

Personally, I feel very eh about my current uploading book, and then I remember: right! I did not create this book to be a masterpiece; no, I created this book to get an understanding of myself as an author, to push myself and see what I could do, to see what I could make from my own mind.

I'm 20 as well with a self-confidence at a low 2 out of 10. I don't think my writing is good, and I've frankly always been a bit embarrassed about it because I'm terrified of a sort of confrontation. But I do know that I want to be better because writing has been something I've always held an intense passion for. Never give up. Never delete your stories. Never run away, just run forward. When you become the writer you want to be, you can look back at the path you left behind and see how far you have come.
