Hey everyone, I’m running an experiment to see how different writers would handle my story if they were the ones writing it. The idea is to understand how each of you would approach it based on your own style and choices.

Rules:
1. You can change one of the following:
- Genre (e.g., horror, comedy, fantasy, etc.)
- Tone (e.g., darker, more lighthearted, dramatic, etc.)
- Setting (e.g., medieval, futuristic, modern-day, etc.)

2. You can change the tone along with your choice, but not all three at once.
3. The characters must remain the same. (But you can change their personality and roles)

4. Describe how you would write the story with your chosen change.

5. Provide a brief explanation of what elements you changed and why.

6. Include a short plot summary of your version.

No need to write the full story—just share how you would approach it. Let’s see how different the results turn out!

The only change I would make would probably be to shift to third person omniscient with occasional jumps into the heads of the characters to highlight some of the humor more.

Sorry for taking so long to answer. Since the thread is about how I would've written this story, I, first of all, look at my personal bias. I don't like LitRPG, so I won't write it. Second, based on my own understanding and skills, I don't think LitRPG is necessary here. It doesn't bring anything to the story, and detracts from it, making it less original. I will try to come up with a different power system.

Actually I am making fun of lit rpg game here where apparently exp is basically sucking the life force of dead souls to improve overall abilities

And the game screen is the brain trying to organize the direct information dump that one gets from the gods or dead souls memory along with displaying the changes

Apparently the demon lady figures out how to steal souls and keep them stored in her minion who are bonded to her that way the hero's gain no exp even if they kill them

She even goes so far as to use a illusion spell to change her race in the status to just pass a scan and waltz into the holy church to destroy it

Yeah, I would've done it the other way. I hope you won't take it as advice or opinion on your novel.
