Oh, Cornelia Steelheart from "Wreath of Lilies, Cauldron of Poison"! :ROFLMAO: (But this one has all reasons to be arrogant: an ancient cultivator patriarch from different reality transmigrated into her body, and looks at everybody in new world as at children... though it takes from him (her?) a tall price from time to time).
Can you mention someone from a popular manga or something? Maybe game? I haven't read any of those.

Sorry. I rarely read manga. And if I do, it's not the popular one.
Let me think a little... "Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou" (I presume, everebody have read it, or watched anime series, at least... even I finished fist part ?), Kouki Amanogawa. Isn't he overconfident and often arrogant simply because he is the "hero"?

Man I don’t know much about original novels with villain protags…

But if you wanna dip into manhwa, The Priest of Corruption is technically an antihero who serves his morally-gray goddess, Regressor Instruction Manual has an unrepetantly manipulative bastard who uses everyone (warnings for yandere love interests though), and I Grow Stronger By Eating’s MC…yeah, something’s wrong with that guy lol.

I've only read a couple of chapters and have no idea who this Kouki is. We can stop here. Since there were no examples and probably won't be, I will keep my opinion unchanged. MC of Black Market LitRPG is arrogant.

It's your right to have your own opinions on anything and everything. Still. I've read your feedback thread, and first two novels I mentioned are safe for you: no any BL/GL, no GB and no harems. "Arifureta" has garem, but at quite late stages of WN (you will safely make your opinion on Kouki well before second FL joins "harem").

I think MC of M.G.Driver novel is arrogant. That's why I asked you to show examples of arrogant characters.
i think the main conflict here is your definition of arrogance overlaps with confidence.

If an olympic gold medalist said he could run faster than me, that's confidence.

If my wife said she could run faster than me, that's arrogance.

Both assert the same thing with the same statement and action, yet their qualifications are different. It is the qualifications and background that determine arrogance, not the actions itself.
@M.G.Driver Come recommend your A Black Market LitRPG to this person!
thanks, but my MC does suffer minor setbacks intermittently, so wouldn't be a right fit for this recommendation. He seems to want continuous growth with zero failures so my story isn't that.

If an olympic gold medalist tells he can run faster than everyone else, and he does it all the time it's arrogance. Qualifications and background have nothing to do with confidence and arrogance. The way a person behaves does. You can have all the qualifiactions in the world and still be an arrogant prick.
I'm exercising, so I have a bit of time in-between.

Well, if you think your EVIL MC is not arrogant but confident, I can't say anything in return. I rest my case as well.

Hermes Archnemesis from Wake Up As Mafia Boss (First Project) seems fit in this topic.

Mc is killing all other races.

"There is only one race. It's human race."

Thats my Mc. He will kill anyone who dares to threathen the plot of his creation.
Mc refers the humans as NPCs.

Whatever made you think that?! XD

What i don't like are exactly MC's with the smoothest growth. I want MC's who claw their way up through blood, deceit, scheming, and have several fallbacks and backfires and yet they hold true and somewhat make it through no matter what it cost.

I hate the trope where every calamity mc comes out richer and stronger on orders of magnitude that leaves me questioning how the world survived till now XD. I'd love to see where calamities "change" mc more than just benefit him.

By change I don't want a redemption arc, yuck... Please no messiah after slaughter fest. Should be something more like plot twists to his/her plans, and how she still retains her cunning edge over others.

I think real life has the most evil protagonists. On a more serious note though, Her Majesty's Swarm should count. Everyone is pretty evil as the story goes on and the main character slaughters tons of people without qualm.

I would recommend
- The Psychopath's Harem
- Manipulative Harem God
It shows real manipulativeness and cruelty. ?

Devil Slave (satan system) by Dere_Isaac is full of evil people, tons of gore, torture and lives are cheap. Does feature a bunch of rape though so keep that in mind. Dude is insane but it kinda matches the surroundings so its whatever.

Why should I stop being a villain by Raos_IOI for a bit milder experience compared to the other novel. There does seem to be some romance in the future(saying more would be spoiler). It's quite slow but a lot less murderhobo and more manipulation I guess.

A destined young master villain by xerzxes was also looking promising but author is currently on a one month break after 102 chapters.

They are from webnovel but if required DM me for a decent alternative(rule 6) :s_wink:

LMAO
She is a villain in all but name, she despises empathy and desires to be tainted by the world in every single aspect,(yes it's contradictory but that is in my opinion the point), behavior wise she is definitely a villain, she has just not done anything villainous if you ignore that she terrorizes everyone, she tried to assassinate Jesus fucking Chris for the many gods that she despises. oh I messed up the spoiler and I'm to lazy to bother fixing it.
