Have you guys ever felt true enlightenment during writing? It feels like you have truly combined with a character and see the world truly as it truly is through their eyes. There is a sense of ecstasy as you do it.
To give an example of what I mean by true enlightenment, one night, really struggling with the first chapter of one of my side stories, I just was not connecting with the main character. Then boom! I made an understanding with my MC, falling into their madness. Just imagine a kid rocking back and forth, absolutely off their rocker as they chilled within the characters' demented mind and world. Tongue lolling out and incessantly biting and scratching myself, I had fully submerged myself within the character. Dazed and heady with the rush of their insanity... it was beautiful! The words flowed onto the digital page, and the creativity was beyond just getting in the flow. Admittedly, it had a detrimental impact on my mental health for almost two weeks after because of the character it was with. My inclinations for self-harm far increased. My arms don't look as good as they used to. Oh well!
Enlightenment is one of my favorite things regardless! You guys experience it? What was it like?

Ehh...? You mean to say this isn't the normal state for people while they are writing? This is literally my experience every single time I sit down to write, and I slip into this state without even the slightest issue.

Meh, I guess it's just a product of practice or something. You'll all get there eventually, assuming you continue with your writing for long enough.

EDIT: The REALLY fun part when you know you've taken it to the next level is when you can enter this state and still view things from an objective perspective at the same time. Once you hit that level, you can even go back and edit, questioning the character's motivations mid-stream even as you're immersed in the character.

Nope! There’s a huge sense of creativity, burning passion, and being the character every time I write, but it doesn’t overwrite my personality except in those moments. Just grows from my personality like a cancer or a raging bonfire normally. Neither do I normally feel like I’ve internalized a wholly unique emotion and philosophy of life into how I genuinely think every day every single time I write.
Guess you’re just different?

Personally, there is no next level to enlightenment. Enlightenment for me, the major kind (not the minor kind), is not objective in the least. This isn’t that kind of enlightenment, which all expert/passionate/consistent writers can achieve, as you have. For that one you can, as you’ve said, go back and check motivations, edit, etc. From the one I was specifically talking about, you genuinely grown as a person (whether that’s positive or negative) from it, and it will affect your personality long after the moment has passed, even if you try to shake it off. It is genuinely an indelible mark on your mind.

I have no idea what this thread is about, but I guess that if I don't answer it will be used as evidence of how I "refuse to be friendly or interact with forum games".

So I'm going to say... no, not at all.
Is that why they brought you here? LOL!
RR counts pages by chopping your chapters into 275 word chunks. Every 275 words is a page.

Ah, this is for you too.
Interesting! Thank you for the lesson! The Stars appreciate their new tidbit of color to hold onto avariciously!

Why would you do it? Also, depends. If you use a chess meaning of stalemate, you use
