To try and bring this back on topic and answer more seriously-

Yes. I have had several moments where I felt feelings when writing about my character's feelings. I've cried a few times, felt pretty angry a few others, and I've also accidentally made myself have flashbacks to some more intense moments of my life. It's a little spooky when it happens, but I live for the spook.
So is it like trauma or simply high-stress moments where you have struggled and overcome moments? And yeah! Live and live that spook!
I wouldn’t necessarily say feeling feelings in general is enlightenment. Enlightenment has a VERY different feeling. You take on the entire personality of them, and there is a sense of bliss (how I’d imagine a religious experience in stories where they truly bond with the divine for a brief moment in stories or accounts of religion).

Don't know if that counts, but I had sometimes a moment when the plotline that only was a baseline but just wouldn't turn into anything that would even remotely work in a way it would feel right, suddenly would align itself. Maybe by adding a new element, changing timing, or simply new information, it would just from one moment to the other make sense.

I think that counts! It’s far less rapturous than the example I gave, but there are varying degrees I suppose. I do wonder at what point does enlightenment become not-enlightenment per my own understanding of the word. Hmmm… something to ponder!
...If this is how enlightment looks, I would rather remain ignorant. :blob_sir:
:ROFLMAO::blob_teary: That’s sad! There are other types of enlightenment. Mine just touched on (to put it poetically/chuuni-like) “the truth of the madness; the cavernous fracture; that riddles deep through my trembling mind.”

I am kinda stupid. :blob_teary:
This is why I cannot in good faith recommend method writing to this degree. If you are self harming you should dial back how much you are acting as a character. The character shouldn't harm the writer. The writer should harm the character.
I still stand by this statement, and I don't condone any form of self-harm. If you are harming yourself to write a character, you should stop. If you are thinking of doing any self-harm, seek help.
