Which is why I don't get why Veilguard had to go so far off the deep end in forcing a narrative.
Actually, this is one of the reasons I blame DEI (and hate it in the industry), because with each new game they released, they had fewer and fewer of the previous developers who made the first games so successful, this includes the writers.
I don't think anyone is going to understand why because there are just so many wrong decisions made for the game's development.
DEI can be good if its the deciding factor between two nearly equal things but yeah, it's working against them in this case. There is also EA's tendency to downsize departments after releasing new video games. I imagine there will be more of that after a few months and the actual financials for Veilguard are out.
