Dragon Age Veilguard is completely insufferable.

Which is why I don't get why Veilguard had to go so far off the deep end in forcing a narrative.

Actually, this is one of the reasons I blame DEI (and hate it in the industry), because with each new game they released, they had fewer and fewer of the previous developers who made the first games so successful, this includes the writers.

I don't think anyone is going to understand why because there are just so many wrong decisions made for the game's development.

DEI can be good if its the deciding factor between two nearly equal things but yeah, it's working against them in this case. There is also EA's tendency to downsize departments after releasing new video games. I imagine there will be more of that after a few months and the actual financials for Veilguard are out.

We already have DEI in "affirmative action" amongst quite a few states (This concerns the USA, not the rest of the world).
Personally, I don't think DEI is needed as much now as it was in the past.
We already have discrimination laws, and employers keep every application for some years now to prove they don't discriminate while hiring.

If the E in DEI stands for Equality, I'm all for it. I'm not for Equity, because it requires results rather than opportunity.

We have it here in Canada as well. It has it's place but it can be pretty stupid at times. I won't get started about it for reasons.

All the things I've seen about the staffing for Veilguard leaves me to believe I shouldn't hold out any hope for Mass Effect so thats at least one good thing that came out of it.. ?‍♀️
