Revel in your doubts and keep creating new things. Every so often something just "clicks" and you have a story where you're confident that you'll get to the ending of.
At least that works for me. *Stares at the folders of barely-written novel ideas*

hello people, when you're having problems with the story and also have doubts if you can unfold it and/or it doesn't have potential, what do you usually do?
Before, I tend to base the value and continuation of my story on how the audience would receive it. However, time came for me when I realized, the audiences/readers have different tastes. What may be popular now may not be popular later.

So? I said "Fuck it," and 'winged' it.

Now I'm 17 volumes into my story. Ain't that popular, but I have my loyal readers.

Oh yeah this might sound hypocrisy for someone who is afraid of uploading his works, but.

Doubting is natural but the choice to pursue through it would be based upon you. As long as you have faith in your work, then how about just try it even once? Without the fear or anixety holding you back.

I simply accept it and suffer LMAO

You're gonna have this problem no matter what you write and how much experience you have. Figure out if you're able to keep writing the story and if you enjoy it (not necessarily the process of writing it, that's a chore a lot of the time). Then you'll know if all the doubts are worth enduring.

If it's something that you can envision, you can probably write it. If you can't then you can come back later and retry it. I took on a hugely ambitious story when I had never written anything ever, and it turned out like ass, but I'm here now because of it.

People take these online forums pretty seriously when I don't think they should. You aren't pitching to get published, you're trying to get feedback on your work. A forum is a forum for a reason. That comes first, the money will come second.

Sure your story right now might be a dud, but one later down the line might hit. You only got there because you tried with your dud story. And even if it's a dud, maybe you can come back later and do it justice. Or, just keep it as your own little piece of history.
