As a mini-linguist myself, I agree But at least I stopped including complete conversations in fictional languages years ago and only throw in some terms and names and maybe short sentences And I'm afraid we're derailing the topic again ...

Tell me about it! I also don't use conlang in the actual stories anymore because... well, awkward if nobody is into it, . But toponyms and cultural linguistics is still one of the funnest things to do for a conlanger even if you won't ever use the language itself!
