Does this count as a challenge?

After ignoring the advice to take a rest for so long, I am finally going to follow it. So...
I won't write until January 1st of next year!
(Which sounds grand, but it is just like 6 days, since I wrote today.)
I already fixed my streak with a stempo, and I am ready to... do everything but writing.
I sure hope it works.

I think it counts. If I don't write at least 1.5k words every day even if it's just something random, I feel insanely unproductive. It's probably unhealthy bordering on an addiction to work, so stopping is pretty difficult.

And anything that's difficult counts as a challenge in my books!

Focus on telling a story and not the words you put out. After all, your readers care about what you tell them, not what you are able to put out in a day.

But yes, for now, take your mind off writing. If you need a month of break, then do it by all means. A refreshed mind can put out a good story in fewer words than a 5k-word essay filled with roundabout babbling.
