Does my story fit on Scribble Hub?

Gp @Ai-chan. You want to make sure your text is easily readable, especially for those who may have a harder time due to some difficulties.
That being said, its more like a medieval fantasy cover I would expect. It can go for the class brown leather, typic fantasy cover in a way.
I don't really find the cover connecting to sci-fi though.

Well, the sci-fi isn't a big part of the story, readers only have to know that this isn't an other world, but just the future version of our world, with magic.
That being said, medieval fantasy wans't really what I was aiming for when I asked the artist to create this cover. I wanted something like this but more fantasy-like, so maybe she interpreted me wrong. Do you think that I should just make a new cover (inspired by this type of covers) or can I fix this one?

Talking about genuine fantasy, I had a question about my cover. Does my cover looks like a fantasy cover? (some said that it was more thriller-)View attachment 6550
Here are some examples of why Ai-chan said all those things above. Your texts need to stand out. It must not be of the same shade as the background. Your readers need to know what you want them to read and what's just there for flavour.

In comparison, Tolkien's book covers were very simple.

Thanks, I know exactly what you mean. Just a question though, I don't want the readers to think that my story is medieval fantasy. Do you think that the cover creates the impression that this is medieval fantasy?

If you have the pdf file, send it to Ai-chan. Ai-chan will change the colour for you on photoshop. Unless, it uses a strange font that Ai-chan has to download, which Ai-chan would not want to deal with because downloading the font would be a pain in the backside hole.

But the simplest fix is just to remove the background or change the font colour.

Yes, the cover makes it feel like a medieval fantasy. It's because of the background and the side ornaments.

Ehh I'm not sure, especially since you mentioned sci-fi isn't a really big part of it, but its also set in a futuristic world... I would seek out more opinions on this matter.

I think the background kinda makes me think back to medieval clothing or brocade and the borders kinda emphasized that.

The borders are fine though if you switch the background with something else.

I think that's up to you on whether you should adjust the covers since I'm not too sure about how to make it less medieval-like.

Sorry, not pdf. Ai-chan was sleepy. Ai-chan meant .psd file.

My pc doesn't seem to recognize a .psd file.
Is .png also good?
No, Ai-chan needs the photoshop element file, which is .psd. PNG is the end file, similar to GIF and JPG. With PSD, all the elements are separated. So you can remove the background and change the texts individually. Your cover artist would have the .psd file because they need it to make fine adjustments.

Hmm, my cover artist is on a hiatus. i'll try to convert the file on another website to see if it'll work

Can I maybe send you the .png file so you can convert it to .psd, because my pc still doesn't recognize the file

Unfortunately, converting the end file into another file type will make no difference. The layers and element is already stuck in place and can't be separated. Well, technically it's possible, but it's a pain in the ass and Ai-chan doesn't feel like doing that.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that. Changing png into psd doesn't make it editable in the technical way.

Anyway, here's pretty much the only thing Ai-chan can do without the psd.

I understand. Thanks for the effort, though! It's indeed more clearer for the reader. Unfortunately, it doesn't solve the whole 'medieval fantasy'-problem.

Yeah, it's too bad. :blobrofl: If Ai-chan has the psd, it wouldn't be a problem. But without it, it's faster to make it from scratch.

Currently, this place has been populated mostly by the rejects of RRL and Wattpad, so getting more new blood unrelated to either one would be great. Many of those litrpg thingies were reposts by those from RRL hoping for more audience in a newer platform.

LOL man this part right here is damn near legendary XDD

I've been saying this, first time someone agreed with me. At least openly anyway, though I'm well aware of numerous others who have said the same in private discord convos. Though I would edit this statement just a tad bit, and also add in "people who aren't able to handle the higher standards of RRL."

As for Wattpad, anything and everything from practically anywhere and everywhere is an improvement over Wattpad. Except perhaps for Webnovel.
