Do You read a chapter a day, or do you like a 'page turner' and prefer a completed story?

I have been reading online for over a year. I like to read completed stories and rarely read an ongoing piece. Now that I have been posting my story online, I wonder about the readers that only read as I write. (A chapter a day.)

Do you like to only read as the story is posted, or do you like to wait until there are several chapters to read in one sitting?

I have readers on another site that read a chapter a day, even though they are 60 chapters behind my posts. Why?!
I'd probably read all of them in one sitting.

Are you reading during breaks from work? Why only one chapter a day? I don't get it.

It depends on the story some stories are just ones that are better chapter to chapter and some better read together in several chapters over one day

Let's put it this way. I love to binge multiple chapters at once, but it doesn't have to be completed.

"Hunt, Gather, Parent" by Michaeleen Doucleff basically says don't bother. The child will sleep when the child is tired, so don't make a big deal out of bedtime. Therefore, I lie in bed while the child tramples me.

I prefer completed stories, but I don't mind reading chapters as they are released. Depending on the story, I might read a chapters as soon as I can, or wait until I can devote it the time and attention it deserves. Or even wait until there are multiple chapters to read at once. Or read a few chapters there and there when I feel like it.

Also keep in mind the readers here most likely follow multiple stories and splitting their time between them.

if the story is good, and I have time to read the entire thing until the last updated chapter, I'll read it whole and wait (though there's no guarantee I'll stick around, since I have a life that I need to deal with every single day)

Same here. I'll only read one chapter per one chapter when only because the story is so good but the update was so slow that I had no choice but to only each one chapter each time it's uploaded.

For the others slower updates story, I'll wait for the chapters to pile up first before reading then in one bunch. Most often than not, I'll just keep it hang in my reading list and would only get back to it once in a blue moon, causing it to be collecting dust in there.

When I was still actively reading, I usually started when a story had at least 100 chapters completed, and then continued following it when I caught up. If the story was still interesting, that is.

I'm alright with both, although I prefer stories that are still being updated. I don't have the time in my day to sit and read for hours on end, but I do have 20-30 minutes at a time. That is usually enough time to read one chapter of a really good story.

I read about two or three chapters a week, sometimes individually, sometimes in one sitting.

If I find a story I like, I typically binge it for as long as possible before taking a break.
Think I only do one at a time if I have no choice because there aren't much chapters in a story yet.
