That hurts, because my work is also here.
Sorry- it's more I haven't been looking recently because I've tried all of those stories that have reached ~100 chapter.
I don't read much short xianxia but I'll look at yours. But I have weird preferences (ie I rarely read male protagonists), adding some tags to your story would be good to draw some more readers.

No. Anything with wuxia or xianxia is an instant discard for me. I have cultivation
Similarly here. They are all basically the same, just use slightly different wording. Read one, and you know all of them.
Plus, I can't stand Chinese-sounding names. There could be a perfect story, but the moment I read a Chinese name, I lose every bit of focus and all that neat world the story builds up - breaks like a marble glass.

No. Tried some, but ultimately the writing style common across basically every novel in those genres just does not sit well with me.

Xian Wu. Shoved 15 eggs up his ass for 12 years and is now immortal and has the power to fight god himself. The stories are so bland abd predictable which is a shame really

Once you read classics and the great parodies, there's nothing new in the genre. There's nothing new under the sun called Wuxia and Xianxia. All the tropes were used, all the POV were seen, and only those who are persuasive survive the genre.

I love watching xianxia donghua, but they need good comedy or heaven defying modelling. I also like reading the genre, but only coupled with BL, and complete, and not complete tragedy which is damn hard to find.

Not really. I tried but mostly of them feel the exact same and somewhat boring due to repetitive and unnecessary explanations.

I've read wuxia/xianxia manhua but not actual prose-written stories in those genres.

Edit: So apparently, many of my favorite kung-fu movies (besides Ip Man) are considered wuxia. I admit, I was more in it for the spectacle than the plot since I love martial arts and Donnie Yen. Having said that, I don't know how well the chain punch or elbow block can be translated into literature form.

Yes!!! I've read just about everything by Gu Long and Jin Yong, or at least the stuff that's been translated (which should be just about all of it). I've also really enjoyed Water Margin, though that's probably not what most people have in mind when talking about wuxia...

I also read webnovels (wuxia and cultivation xianxia too) when I can find the time for them. But I don't like leaving novels half-finished, which as it turns out is a very counterproductive mentality when it comes to these multithousand chapter behemoths. Despite this I did manage to finish a few of them! Or at least as much as some of them could be finished...
