Do you ever click on an ad you hate just to waste the company's money?

That's not how it works. They already paid to have the ad placed there. Edit: as in the impression, not the specific case.
It depends on the pay structure. I've seen things like five cents for an impression and fifteen cents if it gets an actual click.
Aside from that, the algorithm will notice when I click it, and it will show me similar ads in the future. I'd rather see ads for things I don't want to buy than get enticed by things I find tempting but can't afford.

I do sometimes because I find what they are trying to sell me offensive, bad for the environment, or something along those lines.
Ads? What's that? Are they tasty? I mean lets be honest most people her are techy enough to use an ad blocker.

While many publishers get paid on impression, unless it is direct advertising, it is often paid on click. And clicks can get really expensive depending how. Like you can easily pay over $1 per click for targetted advertising.

On contrary, that gives them an idea you like the ads more becaude you clicked on them. So they see its good to send out more crappy ads to you.

That's the point. I want to take their money rather than give them money because I don't think their product is good for humanity.
