2. When I practice patience and try to shift my perspective to someone elses. Other times i just end up not respecting that person even if I try. Selfishness goes up and down.
3. It is nice to be likeable, but you will not be liked by everyone, so choose who you care about.

Yes. I do it by being friendly and easy to talk to. But since I am originally an introvert, there are times I will isolate myself to 'recharge' after a tiring round of socialization.

Depends. If you're working in a job that requires you to be sociable, like in education, you definitely have to be likable or the students will give you hell.

1. I think I am somewhat in the middle. For people that like me, I provide witty conversation and humor.
2. Yes, I practice patience and temperance. Although, sometimes I will speak my mind, even if it makes the other person hurt or angry.
3. You can't be liked by everyone. I think it's important to be yourself. However, that doesn't necessitate being an asshole. You can be polite without using soft language. Everything is about tact, really.

1. Me? I don't really see it. I am blunt, often by myself, I don't generally reach out to friends and family. People might like me for things like my insight or blunt honesty, but I was educated to see those as worthless or worse.
2. I mean, sure. I'll hold a door open for a stranger, I'll treat cashiers and waiters like human beings and I'll slow down and give less assertive drivers a chance if I notice them struggling, but those are fairly minimal standards of living in society. As for how I try to make myself more likeable? Generally by trying to hide my stims and masking my obvious autism and neurodiversity traits.
3. Not really? I mean, I am me, some people seem to think it's enough to call me a friend. I certainly won't go out of my way to try to make myself more likeable to people who wouldn't like the real me.

I would say I am somewhat likeable. I have a genuine heart for people and I think that comes across well enough. I am socially awkward in a public setting however, and I certainly do have a number of quirks that I believe cause people to personally like me, but also not go out of their way to seek my company. I Think it's important to at least have a small social group that accepts and loves you, but I don't think it is all that important to be likeable overall. I personally think it's a positive thing to be at least a bit disagreeable. It really depends on what your goals are, and what you are trying to get out of life.

*Edit as for how I try to improve myself and therefore my "likeability" (not really my goal.) I just try and practice active listening and taking a genuine interest in the lives around me. I look for things I can participate in with people.
