I will be honest; i sincerely believe in the concept of acceleration. In terms of intelligence, humans definitely have that. things like "if we're so smart why do we kill our own kind" is a testament to that intelligence. we're somehow cognitive enough to RECOGNIZE faults within ourselves and make the effort to remove themselves from it or eradicate those who refuse to change for the better of the future. those faults may vary among many different groups of perception; some see bigots, others see degenerates; but the effect still stands. barring that, we've somehow achieved worldwide domination and created a whole civilization where most of the population sustains itself through some mythical currency running on pure belief.

and looking beyond that, you'll find out that these traits were bred out of nothing whatsoever. somehow, we're the only species on the planet that came up with arbitrary concepts that hold us together and give us a reason to not tear each other's limbs apart from pure impulse. granted, these concepts are inspired by acts of survival, but my point still stands. we took over the fucking world in the same time span it takes for a species to mutate a tail, and that's between who knew how many wars and conflicts.

if you want to call that parasitic behaviour, then fine, I won't refute it. the issue stems is that I'M part of that parasitical species. you can be so noble as to spare others from your existence but not me, and if you try to drag me down with you, you got another thing coming. i want to live. in fact, I want to see how far we can go.

now I'm gonna put on my tinfoil hat and say Space Travel will be the one thing to save us. i believe we should spread out presence and molest the stars. infect the systems, and make that space dystopia true, because that's the only way we can survive as a species. my opinion is that environmentalism should only be upheld UNTIL we can find a way to sustain a few city's worth of population in outer space. after that, every resource should be spent in accelerating the process of sending people into the fucking stars. and I mean industrialization to the level of militarization. if we have to reenact Elysium, so be it. humanitarianism is an unsustainable dream. you can never truly unite everyone. i only believe in survival of the fittest. either some unlucky population dies, or everyone does, and I'm gonna take that risk if that means I can live to see another day. i WANT to see another day, and if I have to kiss ass my way there then hell, I'll take it. honour doesn't put food on the table and blood in the veins; opportunism does. if you rather die than continue, fine; your body will just be the pile among the ones the elite step on their way to the future. yes, I understand that there's a fat fucking chance I'll be part of the pile, but I'm willing to take that chance, because as stated; either some of us dies, or all of us dies. if push comes to shove, I'll probably end up standing on the side that faces yours. morality is a great thing, but morality requires survivability. you can't be moral if you can't even simply be. and if i find i simply can't live with it, there's always the final bullet in the chamber.

as of now, we're only delaying the inevitable.

trust me when i say i'd be happy to collectively reach the utopia. if you give me the divine choice between living in Blade Runner or a heaven where everyone holds hands and sing kumbaya, i'd happily pick the latter. but as proven by history, it only ends up with betrayals and killings under the justification of warped morality.

it's only best if we just skip the anticipation and go head first towards it. rather than prolonging the suffering, why not just get straight to the point and see which group gets the last laugh.

for me? call me scummy but i prefer to live. you can catch me pulling masks and switching sides while hiding like John Carpenter's The Thing. still, don't misunderstand me; I'll be more than willing to dispose of you if you pose a danger to my survivability. the effectiveness of which WILL BE questionable, but still expect me to make the effort.

Eradicate humans? Pfft, I would play around with this thing and make dystopias...

Now, I'm suddenly inspired to make a horrible smut in this site with some random person getting an infinity gaunlet, which I won't do, maybe...
Maybe because of Copyright to Marvel....?

i wish humans lost their intteligence.
No. We have come a long way to here than now. Actually, if we lose a lot of intelligence we'd be less open-minded to things and more narrow-minded and play into our fears. It'll cause more havoc and chaos, more suffering. For example, we have more knowledge about certain medical conditions and different sexual orientation. In past societies, people will ostracize those who are different out of fear, out of just simple hatred for no reason. I think we have come a long way than infamous witch trials just bc you stand out from the crowd. Not saying what we live right now is perfect, but you got to give credit we have also progressed quite a bit. And that is because of the knowledge we have.

No, eradicating humans to save the world is just no. You're not doing any favors. Probably another species may come along the way and also take over too. Also, doesn't matter what species, what race, what ethnicity even, just because you hear a lot of bad news about them doesn't mean everyone of them is bad and should be eradicated. That logic is just smh. There are bad apples everywhere you go, but you got to look deeper than that. There's quite a lot in every group that are not horrendous to what you pictured them to be, but do you go make an effort to hear more about the different sides to them often? Do they share what they have been going through with you? A lot are just trying to get by in life, they don't really go out of their way to show the good, the bad, the everything. A lot of those everyday people are just like everyone else: children, people working to support their families, pushing their way through their education, etc. How is it a kind thinking to be a hero or saviour, when you're eliminating a lot of innocent ones, just because there are a lot of bad apples? What happens to your loved ones who are also humans?

I see similar comments like this on some YouTube videos. A lot of them don't take in considerations what it has gotten to people or a situation to that point, they just claim something similar. In actuality, there's a lot of caring humans out there too. Spend some time looking at the humane acts people do, things they go out of their way to help/save others or try to make some small changes at least, to help reduce impact on the environment. Humans are complex, they don't all fit into big, bad category.

TL;DR: disagree the idea to eradicate humans to save the world. what kind of saviour act is it, to put all in one category and wipe other lives out, in the act of "saving?"

Absolutely not. I hate hearing people say things like "humans are so horrible, earth would be better off without them."

First of all, people who say this, I think it is fair to say, are probably having some amount of self doubt. If you think that the earth would be better off without humanity, you are also thinking that the universe would be better off without you. I don't think so at all! You can have a positive impact on your fellow human beings, whoever you are.

I am going to refrain from bringing my personal theological beliefs into this discussion, and look at this from outside that. Humans are just another type of animal. The universe does not care what is done to it. It does not care if one of the animals controls more, builds more, populates more than the others.

We are unfortunately in a sad place right now where we are struggling with taking care of our environment. But more and more, I'm seeing a turning point, as more of the general public is caring about this, and we're actually coming out with technology that can help us solve these problems. Better sources of power are becoming more viable, and are decreasing in cost. It is much easier to get solar than it used to, and Tesla is rolling out solar roofing, which I think will become almost standard for building houses.

Then we have technology with carbon capture that will limit existing pollution and absorb existing CO2.

Further, we are learning more efficient ways to use what we already have. Batteries are helping to regulate power grids so that we can get rid of peaker plants. Electric motors and lightbulbs are becoming more efficient, vastly reducing the energy that we need.

I don't think that we will avoid all of the troubles with climate change - we're already experiencing many. But I don't think we're ever going to reach close to an apocalyptic scenario.

In the end, I think that this question is mostly reliant on the present success of humanity. In the late nineteenth century, the powers in the world believed that humanity was on an inevitable rise, that technology would only better humanity - of course, this was ignoring.... a lot. But this optimistic world view, that humanity could be better, led to us trying to be better. We thought we could achieve greater heights, and we sought to do so.

I think that having a pessimistic view of humanity and of yourself will only result in a self fulfilling prophecy. One should, of course, have balance in life. Recognize that problems exist, but believe that they can be solved or at least managed.

Also, when people say they think humanity is terrible, it comes across kind of as you saying to me and everyone else - I think you suck. That's a little bit of hyperbole, but that is the essence of it, even if it isn't so harsh. When it comes down to it, any meaning we find in the universe is found in our connection with other people. Of course the earth wouldn't care if we were snapped out of existence. But as intelligent beings, we care about each other. We do want to exist, we want to explore, learn, and enjoy each other's company.

Whether you have a secular or religious worldview, it is very hard to ignore the fact that most of the value of life is going to be gained from your interaction with others. Having this worldview, that humans will not improve, and we are nothing but a scourge to the universe, is not going to give you much enjoyment in life.
since humans appeared, nature has disappeared the opposite of what humans need. Humans are greedy their very existencie takes from what has been created.

there are 2 things that might happen if humans continue to exist without a balance patch being inserted.

1. Humans will destroy their universe or potentially/create a new one.

2. humans will destroy the universe.

Humans have such an easy time committing sin it's is obvious. humans are a vessel for demons.
plus I will not disappear since i am an angelic force.

common misconception most angels don't have wings. only seraphims have 6 wings and cherubims 2. plus we do not even have a physical body we are a force of nature. ha look at me ranting.

The issue with this kind of thinking is that it's most of the way to eco-fascism. Like, humans have been excellent care takers of our environment for some ~150,000 years. Yeah, more recently with the advent of capitalism we've started really distancing ourselves from nature and wrecked our environment but even still indeginous people (who make up about 5% of the world's population) are protecting some 80% of global biodiversity. Humans aren't the virus, our current economic system rewards infinite growth and consumption of the world's resources.
well maybe humans aren't the virus but their mind is. they greed for unnecessary things causing unnecessary harm.

I don't know how to tell you this, but humans have possessed the exact same levels of intelligence for their entire history. And, I know this is hard to believe, but indigenous people have minds too.

Where you say, "you cannot unite everyone" and "humanitarianism is an unsustainable dream" are so fucking true. I've said this before, and I always get the same bullshit with people saying everyone just needs to get along and accept others differences.

No. There are certain types/groups/etc. of people I hate. I find disgusting. Revolting. I DON'T WANT TO UNDERSTAND THEM. I DO NOT AND WILL NOT ACCEPT THEM. EVER. I don't care about their struggles. I don't care about what makes them who they are. I don't have to. Nothing says I do. I'm always amused when people say "be nice and make peace for a better tomorrow". Me making peace and getting along is me avoiding them and saying nothing negative to them. Me avoiding conflict with them by simply ignoring and tolerating them. Forcing anything more from me will only make me violent.

Will I tolerate their existence? Sure. I'm not bothered enough to start preaching open-season violence or genocide. But if they come up and ask me to be friends or nice/friendly, then no, fuck them. And fuck anyone else who likes/agrees with them and finds fault with me for it.

World Peace is al illusion. The only way to create it, is through sheer brutal, bloody-minded force. And then, it would have to be maintained by even more savage violence and sustained with the fear of threats of further violence. Such a theoretical/hypothetical regime would also need someone who is truly impartial in charge for it to last longer than a single generation, of which no such person has ever, or will ever, exist. Everyone is biased and partial to something and someone. You're a liar if you say otherwise.

World Peace is not possible. So I agree that we need to spread outwards and in the process, lets different groups go their separate ways and make their own versions of whatever they want. Something that isn't currently possible on Earth due to limited space and because of already established and historical living practices and habits.

I'm not sure where your getting your source on this, but it sounds like you are taking Biblical ideas of humanity, and extrapolating because humanity naturally has a desire to do wrong, humanity is therefore evil, despite the fact that we can choose to shake that and be better.

Also, must disagree with the last statement. Angels do not have wings, but it is a symbolic metaphor of their power to move and to act.

Angels are either spirits yet to come to earth, or those who have already lived on earth.

I enjoy your view. yes most angels don't have wings. there are 2 types of angels that do as I said earlier the cherubim that take care of the throne of god and the seraphim who administer heaven. lets not forget angels are spirits that cannot be sensed with the naked eye but there are those who can. usually those with clear souls. in addition humans are evil because they chose not to kneel before the might of our dev. we have administered 10 balance patches 2 of them almost eradicated your species but your all so stubborn. here is a realistic seraphim

Humans practice the art of apathy to a tee unless you have something to immediately lose you are happy to do nothing in the face of danger or death. Funnily the most evil humans end up doing the most good. though they would still rot in h**l

My question, how do you know if angels have wings? The only mention of such is in sections of the Bible with heavy metaphor and symbolism.

Yeah no shit. No matter which way you put it systematically rearing animals and skinning them THEN eating them is pretty cruel.

But then again, them McChicken doesn't grow from fucken trees, do they?

It's either them or us. That's how animals in nature works, so why would it change just because we gained a little extra intelligence? We're still part of nature for all our vaunted "braining" we do.
