Races like vampires need blood to survive, so there should be organs, similar to that of a heart which pumps blood, that process that blood. But they have the same exoskeleton as humans, I think. Their fangs serve the purpose of sucking blood, meaning that their nervous systems are different. They have a hyperactive combination of hunger drive (hypothalamus), reward-seeking behavior (nucleus accumbens), and loss of impulse control (prefrontal cortex). Also, they can turn into bats, which is a different thing that we don't talk about.

Similarly, there are demi-humans like cat girls or bunny girls, which have extra limbs like tails. It could be seen as the genetic combination of a cat and a girl (human), duh. Basically, their senses, like their eyes, are enhanced, I think, and they can jump higher. Also, they behave like cats... I don't know. Their brains are different, as they exhibit feline behaviors, like wagging.

Dwarfs, which are literally built different, are often portrayed as weapon smiths.

Elves have longer lifespans; I guess their hearts are really healthy. Their circulatory systems are good, so they can heal faster. Their muscles are strong, and they are often depicted as being skilled at archery. They behave in groups, like humans. Of course, they do; they are based on humans, you idiots! Most of them are, what do you expect?

Demons are just evil beings, yes (maybe). Their minds are evil; they have pathological urges to ruin everything, to kill, to torment.

Anyways, the brain is something that is used as a medium for consciousness (not really). It just helps you perceive all the things. Think, feel, and do all the things you do; without the brain, you cannot do anything (supposedly). It’s a mush of meat that cannot be replaced. Consciousness is something full of mysteries (the hard problems of consciousness). While different races may look different, they have the same brain, but it is somewhat adapted to their bodies, like vampires or demons. The size of it may vary; their desires, adaptability, philosophy, psychology, culture, beliefs, and morals may be different, but essentially, the brain develops what you are due to your experiences. The choices that you made throughout your life affect your way of thinking, the way you act, and the way you speak. From the age of a kid, you have been taught what’s right or wrong, what’s illegal or legal. Laws exist to keep you aware of such things, to restrain you from taking another life. The concept of mortality is something someone understands, whether subjective or objective, through experience or knowledge. Their value of empathy comes from understanding each other.

To desire is nothing but a si—

Anyways, do every race have the same brain? Also, do they have the same anatomy? If it’s different, then what is it?

No they do not, but all of the one's you've listed just sound like humans cosplaying something different.

A vampire can be a blood elemental hiding in a piece of meat that, like a jellyfish, doesn't have a central nervous system but can learn. And its blood cells can be ordered to form this or that organ or a bat body by giving them the right signals and each memory is stored in a certain number of cells.

A demon can be, you know how there's a thing called terminal lucidity that lets people and animals ignore the state of their brain and act as if perfectly healthy some time before their death? One possible explanation for how this can be achieved is that they switch to a ghost brain from a meat brain early, and a demon could be constantly in such a state cause why not.

And a demihuman can have a second body with a second brain sealed somewhere, and they are linked, and both follow a different thinking pattern and generate different thoughts constantly.

Fantasy races probably have more biological differences than dog breeds which are all the same species and have wildly different cognitive abilities so I'd say that there would be massive differences in their brains.

A psychopath's brain is different from a normal person's brain, right? Albert Einstein's brain is different compared to other brains, right? I would hazard a guess that, regardless of species, every brain is different. They will share resemblances, but they couldn't be the same. Definitely not in a 1:1 ratio. To take my wildly probably inaccurate argument another step forward. The brain contributes the most to the 'self', and the topic of identity alone proves that one brain is definitely different from the other. In essence, there was no such thing as the same brain.

It's more of a hear me out moment, really. But think about it.

Hopefully your vampires have endoskeletons, like humans, instead of exoskeletons...

Because you know, exoskeletons are like bugs or crabs, with the "bones" exposed to air.

But yeah, the brains of, say, a catgirl and human, would technically be somewhat distinct. After all, it would have to account for the ear position, muscles, and nerves connecting to their tails.

Depending on how different a dragon-person is to a human (cold blood? Egg-laying? Lifespan? Hormones?) The brain would certainly be different to adapt to all those differences.

Shapeshifters makes this even more complicated! If you shapeshift from human to a bird, what happens to your brain and sense of self?

Magic handwaves a lot of stuff :)

For near human races, the physical organ is at least similar, if not identical, to humans, but the chemistry behind it is not. Well, most of the time. Sometimes I'll play with even more fantastic concepts, like a world where there are no female dwarves because all dwarves are formed from rock and clay.
Creatures that do not have a human form, may have wildly different internals in all aspects. Or might not. Depends on the story.

Mine (including the humans) are your typical Tolkien inspired races at the surface, but they are basically offshoots of one common ancestor. So their brain and genetics are same and compatible, otherwise, the mixed bloods would be sterile, while they are in fact not.

Humans are, well, humans. The average jack of all trades race.

Elves live four times as long as humans. They are frailer in physique, but has more powerful magic potential. Their ears are also sensitive, able to listen from hundreds of yards away like dogs or cats.

Dwarves also have the same lifespan as elves. They are short and stocky, but extremely strong and dextrous, making them the best blacksmith and gunslinger they are. Their eyes can see in the dark, allowing them their subterranean lifestyle.

Orcs are your typical Warcraft orcs, yet with less exaggerated tusks. They are usually one head taller than average humans and built more muscular. They are considered the physically strongest race universe-wise, also the most resistant to fire.

Halflings are the same short people as hobbits, but gifted with the best magical potency, rivaling elves. They make the strongest wizards and witches.

As a system of electromicrobiometalogical self reflecting eel-like cells.. I find this offensive. :blob_pout:
And I am not just evil! I'll kill y- i mean, won't discuss this bias any further.

Personally, I think that making humanoids sharing same bodily functions is predictable yet expected.

Seeing how we can find relations with birds, mammals and obviously monkeys.

don't try to logic fantasy.

Vampires in a lot of fiction are just dead. no brainwaves, nothing. A spirit inhabiting unchanging flesh. Logic checked out at the door.
