Hope this is the right category for my question, but do any of you have disability rep in your novels? Whether it's physical or a mental disability, tell me about them! (I've found, especially in creative world-building how people would incorporate types of disabilities for their characters)...Just want some novels to check out ^_^

Adding the characters who have disabilities in my novel, too! Just wanna talk about them—Kolupati, the Death Goddess, has chronic pain due to
, and my Moon God is fully blind in one eye! Some of my characters have quirks from me (neurodivergent) so they can be read that way, but I mean it’s up to how you interpret them mostly.

In my draft, that's part of why my protagonist wants to write parking tickets.

MCs love interest in mine is blind, a dragon thats mute and a guy with a slight muscle condition. Got a few other little things as well but not sure if a stutter counts.

Two side characters:

Beholder Carpalis - Armless and it is heavily implied that she relies on personnel to help with ADLs, especially with her technology broken. Refuses to use prosthesis which is highly common in the world of Elysia by the equivalent of megacorps, coming in the form of steel arms with claws/syringes at where the fingers should be. The other end is total body augmentation.

Stella - A naturally blind girl that aspired to 'see' the stars in a subterranean world where her peers who had vision had also never seen them, but she had the best interpretation of it thanks to a painter who allowed her to feel what a star would be like when reached. She ironically used to serve as a guide for monsters that plucked the organs of people/wore their skin as coats, and stole their eyes, ears and tongues in their slice of miserable paradise. She was the only one spared from losing her mind when the truth about the stars beyond their subterranean world was revealed as a result of her blindness. She struggles with life, but now sees extensive care and may one day be able to see with the help of a certain Symbiote, and possibly a technology. There is no magic that can help her.

Is this a "I'm looking for.." thread?

For characters with mental disabilities daybreak on hyperion might be a good one to check out. One of the characters is bipolar.

I guess it could be considered that, but I just really wanted to hear from others about if they wrote characters with disabilities and what the character is like ?

My main character Sol has a physical disability as of Chapter 24. No arm up to the MC’s shoulder.
Sol’s brother has muscle atrophy, cancer, full-body and partial facial paralysis, etc. etc.

I've got characters with ADHD and ASD coding, quite a few with mental health concerns, one with endometriosis, and one with Joint Hypermobility Disorder but I don't explicitly state this anywhere in the stories. That said, I'm only up to about chapter 16 in all my stories so those things might become more prominent later.
