For the most part? Prefer digimon over poke.
Reasons: [Old bias since haven't touched their media in 10+ years]
1. Games: Earlier Digimon has you actually raising them rather than just collect & battle.
+ in later versions they don't just collect dust in storage; DS series has them gaining stats / producing items / etc in the farm or actually returning w/ stuff in Lost Evo. -- Tho, too bad they moved the raising aspect to Championship.
2. The shows' story isn't the stale one off like poke: kid journeying around the region collecting badges to battle in the championship. -- Which continued on for what? 6+ seasons?
At least Digimon changes it up a bit. IE.
1. Digimon Adventures 1=isekai.
2. A2= transfering to the digital world + egg/crest evo.
3. Tamers = card battle-ish w/ digimon invading the "real world"
4. Then back to isekai in Frontier, but now the cast transforms into digimon (instead of having a partner)
Etc.
Edit: Forgot about manga/s since I didn't read any pokes (only know of one), and only read one or two digimon.
