Difference between Total Views (All) and Total Views (Chapter)

As the title says, please indulge me, for a bit.

So the Total views (Chapters) in the stats page is the sum of all views from all the posted chapters.

So what does Total view (All) encompass then, the main page and the stats page?

So does every visit to a story main page count as a view for Total View (All) ?

For my own story, the chapter views is less then fifty percent of the total view. How should i interpret these figures.
Alternatively, I have also seen stories with 20k total views (all) but less than 1k Total views (chapter).

Could someone demystify it?

Hmmm, I always thought it was all chapters vs all chapters+main page(details/Glossary/details)+Edit(Author only).

I think the reason for the gap is many people click to the story when they see the cover and the title on the latest releases, but aren't interested in the synopsis enough to click on the first chapter.

So basically 50% of my views were my own.
