Did you ever want to core dump the rest of your book all at once?

I mean, have like, all your chapters set up and you have them carefully spaced out and all the cliff hangers are in place and you get to the end and you go, "I AM SO BRILLIANT! I WANT EVERYONE TO SEE THIS RIGHT NOW!!!" but you know that:

1. If you upload everything at once, it will ruin the pacing.
2. If you space it out every few days, it gives you time to go back, re-read what you wrote, and make corrections because you can ALWAYS tweak it just a LITTLE BIT MORE and can you EVER proof read enough?

I had 66 chapters worth of stockpile before I posted the 2nd one yesterday.

There's always that little itch to just dump them all, lmao. But no, I don't wanna get flagged for spamming

Honestly, I wanted to. But yeah, I need to restrain myself. I just want my readers to read my book at a leisurely pace.

Trust me when I say that the urge is HUUUGE. I deal with it by taking "cheat" days. Basically, my story got a once-every-two-day release schedule, but I sometimes post chapters within a day of each other when I feel like I can't hold back anymore.

I stockpile stuff anyway, so I guess it's always been like that for me. On the flip side, it makes my release schedule akin to actual light novels (by design though). So it's a steady stream of releases every 2 or 3 days, but there's like a 4 to 6 month wait in between volumes.

And yes, there's an urge to do that, but my format doesn't lend to being able to do that much since it's pretty bad for viewer retention (doing the long hiatuses and the like) so it's not like it matters that much.

I dumped it when I found SH. Posted a chapter almost every 4 hours as I edited them until SH was caught up. Was pretty nice.

Then I realized this is SmutHub.

I just started writing. The only thing I had planned was the ending, world, and characters at the start. Kind of worked backwards but started writing at the beginning. I don't really know how to explain it.

I feel jealous that people have a backlog, my last month or so has been hectic so I've been writing to the deadline time wise. Last week I was 2 minutes late, this week I was done with about 10 to spare. Just so hard to focus during the week at times.
If I had a backlog though, I get really bad when something does better than expected and start releasing bonus chapters without really considering that I have to shift everything up now.

The last time I core dumped something, I wound up with a 2nd degree perineal laceration, and that wasn't even the worst part!

I always procrastinate when it comes to editing my chapters, so no, not really.
