So, I have been doing progress reports for more than 50 days, posting them under a picture. But now I simply don't want to bother. What release schedule do you think will be ok? I don't want to stop entirely because I have gotten readers that way. I put my character designs there too.

I'd say once or twice a week if you want to keep a steady amount of attention. While posting a lot in a week seems better, it's only good for the short term if you don't have a lot of content to upload.

If you can label your updates as something catchy in addition to the name, you'll also draw in more people. Saturday Sketch - [Image Name], Sunday Scribble - [Image Name], Friday Figure - [Image Name], etc. Just examples as you can probably come up with something a little more meaningful to what you're doing.

If I have to be honest, I think I am actually blogging, but I am not sure.

I recommend Saturday or Sunday. Earlier in the days to give people a chance to read them on their weekend, later on Sunday if you don't mind them reading it during the week.
