How would you describe your main character? Mine will be playing the role of a perfect idiot, pretending to be mentally disabled so flawlessly that his enemies think he is just a harmless puppet. Little do they know; they are actually the puppets in his story. Behind that foolish act, he is hiding his true fangs, waiting for the right moment.

Got a character with a secret edge or hidden brilliance? Let’s hear about them!

An overly competitive yet hard-working idiot with savior syndrome. Always a formula for trouble.

  • Happy-go-lucky
  • Chad
  • Nonchalant
  • Adaptive
  • Good spirited

Meghan Estragon Draconis is a typical autistic trans woman in that before transition, she was quiet, withdrawn from the world, wore non-descript clothing, and basically afraid of everyone and experiencing burnout. But after her transition, she blooms and finds that she's a fearless, territorial, tenacious dragon ready to throw down with the biggest monster in the county at a moment's notice. And now she runs around naked and nobody seems to care. Which is fortunate, because nobody makes clothes in her size.

Circe: Autistic, smart, enduring, outspoken, filterless.
Nadia: The fun loving cool fool.
Lavinia: Quiet, Considerate, and Strong.
Fade: Competent, brooding, scared, fails at being nihilist.

Calm, composed, and confident. Maybe a little bit of a temper problem, but that's his fault for picking Barbarian.

My annoyance at the spineless pushover or overly passive MCs prevalent in certain types of media may or may not have partially informed the development of his personality.

On some basic levels.

- Confident and commanding
- Cautions and distant

Sounds like a recipe for chaos.

Wow, dude, how are you writing this many stories at once? For me, even with one story, I get tangled up in plots and twists. But you are managing it like a pro. Honestly, I am impressed.
Lazy and greedy
Lazy and greedy, sounds like a dangerous combo.
Depressed.
Sometimes, the darkest characters have the most powerful stories to tell.
Multitasker.
Multitasker, huh? Guess that means they can handle chaos and still look cool doing it:s_wink:
A teacher.
I bet they know how to keep everyone in line while still managing to drop some chaos.
Should just die
LOL, yeah, because giving up is always the best option, right?

Clearly, this character is just getting started.

Wow, Meghan Estragon Draconis sounds like a force to be reckoned with. A territorial dragon who does not even bother with clothes. Love the idea of her embracing her true self so boldly.

Love the variety in your characters.

A prideful mixed martial arts fanatic who loves raining proverbial lightning on billions of enemy NPCs for fun.

For reference, this is the prompt I typed in for how he would look like:

Ah, a calm, composed, and confident character with a tiny temper problem? Sounds like the perfect chaos.
Baby Cthulhu with the body of a Las Vegas stripper who completely misses the point of most things.
That’s a combo I didn’t know I needed. I can already imagine the chaos they’d cause just by existing.

Too many to list.

1. Guy reborn in the body he might have had if he had been born female in a world where superpowers exist. Sees most things in terms of marketing (especially since sex sells) and just "doing the right thing," with the focus slowly shifting from the marketing side to the "right thing" side.
2. Self-deprecating detective thrown into a situation he can not completely believe who survives mostly by being a wise@$$
3. Guy trying to figure out who he is because he has no memories at all except multiple language skills and the ability to alter his appearance at will. Became a cop to help figure that out.
4. Guy driven by a sense of justice to sometimes do bad things to even worse people.
5. A group of friends (some of whom will be replaced by their own kids in later volumes) connected by past or present relationships and - in different ways - a role-playing game - wide mix of personalities in that group.
6. A high-school kid with some martial arts training, and natural athleticism, despite being fairly weak in terms of strength, who becomes a living weapon - and who is very confused by his feelings towards a close friend.
7. A corporate executive who has her world turned upside down due to an inappropriate sense of humor and three very different men.
8. A teenaged animal-lover who finds herself slipping through time.
9. A young archaeologist who finds she has a link to an ancestor (who is also a mummy) that she can call upon to fight ancient evils

Hated by Royal Road. (n)
Honestly, it’s pretty universal for every author on Royal Road to have at least one random hater. It's like a rite of passage, if you are not getting some random hate, are you even writing there?

Sounds like a recipe for drama... and probably some epic chaos.

Sounds like someone who is all about the chaos and crushing enemies with style. I bet his ego is as big as his fists:blob_joy:

Wow, talk about variety! You have got everything from a reborn hero trying to figure out marketing vs morals to a time-slipping animal lover and a detective who survives on wisecracks alone.
