Deleting and reuploading Novels

I recently (a month ago) started writing a novel on this site. After 14 chapters, I gathered around 500 readers, which makes me quite happy.

But I came to the problem that my shedule has become quite tight lately.
Therefore, I was forced to produce content in a short time. This resulted in chapters, with which I'm quite dissatisfied and sometimes, I even had to skip upload days, as I had too little time to even produce passable chapters.

So, I my plan was to rewrite the meager amount of 14 chapters and stock many up, before I'm going to reupload in a stady pace.

But, I somewhere sometimes read that if you reupload the same chapter, it won't get listed on 'recent updates'. This leaves me wondering if these rules would apply in other areas; For example, If I were to delete my novel, would I be allowed to reupload it with the same title and cover? And also, even though I want to rewrite my first 14 chapters, they are still going to be majorly the same and have the same title. Is that also going to be a problem?

I would really appreciate it if someone could answer my questions, as I'm quite clueless and don't know how to get an answer for these questions otherwise...

If you deleted your novel, once you reupload its chapters it will show up in the 'recent updates.' Even deleted chapters show up if you upload those.

The only way for that not to show up in recents is to upload (publish), then set it to private, before making it public (publish) again (usually happens when doing rewrites). Or, if your story hasn't got the mod's approval just yet, which takes a few hours or a few days, depending on his schedule.

As for your cover and title, no problem. It will still get approval and show up, unless someone took it and you have a problem with copyright (though this rarely applies unless someone reported you). Or if the AI checking the images deemed your illustration is NSFW (I got mine rejected a few times, too, even if it's non-NSFW).

The only problem I can see is that your readers might take the wrong meaning about your novel's deletion and reupload (like me when I was still a newbie, who tends to delete and reupload before whenever I get dismal ratings). The solution is to explain to them it is a rewrite.

But do use this part sparingly. Readers would rather like a story in long hiatus with sudden updates, than delete and reupload.

Should be fine as long as you aren't doing it multiple times. I'm in the exact same boat as you, and there are plenty of stories that have deleted or shelved the first version to post a new and improved second draft under the same title. The re-upload rule is for posting the chapters rapidly in a short amount of time, cause system thinks its bot spam.
