I've kind of gotten through most video topics asked about, though there are a couple I still need to hit up. So, anything in particular people want to toss out for me? The more specific, the better.

Also, I've brought back the weekly vote. You can vote here for me to keep everything organized. The topic options for this week are...

  1. Defining the Everyman
  2. The Types of Worldbuilding
  3. How Mary Sues Distort Narratives
  4. The Sliding Scale of Story Serialization
  5. The "Why" Behind Sex Scenes
To note, there will be 2 videos every week this month, one will just be whatever I want while the other will be whatever is voted in.

The "Why" Behind Sex Scenes
This but specifically focus on why they're effective as narrative tools and explore the difference between meaningful and gratuitous sex scenes.

I would genuinely like to see you do a video on this, mostly because I want to see what approach you take when dealing with a topic that has only right answers.

Word count budgeting maybe? There are a lot of web serials that I've tried out and they swing so far off the hook that it sorta becomes a slog to continue.

"Eventually this engineer that gets isekai'd will get to do engineering things right?"

Or maybe just about how a title / hook is a promise that needs to be kept. I don't know, it seems like a number of web serials tend to go into the bait an switch territory, hopefully unintentionally

That's kind of what that video will be about anyway. :s_wink: Though yes, I can go into greater detail and approach from more than just the angle I'd be hitting on it.

Hmm... That appears to be a little something with premise vs. promise.

I don't know how or why, but stables. You know what I am talking about.

...Given a recent discussion I had, I'm incredibly tempted to do this one as an episode I pick just for the sake of it.
