Yes I understand that ghost/ demonic possession in the western side often dealt with by exorcists in horror movies or clerics with gods in D&D style.
Or straight up just JP style Castlevania wielding holy weapon/ mcguffin or born into the job to work.
This is me constantly binging on CN BS, apparently warriors can level up into a body cultivation with magic attacks against the low level spookies.
So here'a the thing, is there any work that has ghost possession that ended in a warrior punching/ smacking it to death?
Likewise, I think this is a trend but oftentimes, ghost possession don't really mingle with genres like xianxia and xuanhuan even though supernatural is their thing. Like, they get locked into cultivation or becoming superhuman but no ghost possession? Spirit based damage is a thing.
