Dark Souls 2 isn't that bad

I know that Dark Souls 2 is infamous in the souls community, mostly because designs decisions in the game and the fact that Miyazaki didn't work in the game. After hearing and readings things about Dark Souls 2 made an expectation of being a bad and messy game.

But, after playing it for half month came across a good game.

Yeah, adaptability and agility stats can cause ulcers, and gankings being very present throughout the entire game. But beside that is a good souls game.

I enjoy it. Dark Souls 2 isn't a bad game. People were exaggerating.

dark souls 2 has a ton of replayability. The pvp was a blast back in the day. Adaption is dumb.

It tried some new and different stuff. Not all of it landed. Also the story was super ambitious and they reworked the majority of it late in development when they were just trying to get this shit out. It was a decent game that was a casualty of troubled development.

Its main criticism was that it was the easiest Souls-like game that FromSoftware had made. It kept that reputation as DS3, Bloodborne, and Sekiro came out. Now some people feel that Elden Ring is their easiest game.

What I always say is that DS2 is good when compared to an average game. But when compared to DS1 and DS3, it is mehbleh.

TRUE. Dark Souls w is criminally underrated. In fact, it's great. Better then DS2. More interesting lore. More interesting level design. Less bullshit enemies.

Dark Souls 2 feels different from Dark Souls 1 and 3 in a way I can't really put into words. It doesn't feel bad. Play it for an hour or two, and it'll feel completely natural. But if you go straight from playing 1 or 3 to 2, you'll definitely notice that it feels different, and that leads to a lot of people calling it bad.
