Cut Lines thread

If there's a thread for this please tell me. I searched but couldn't find one. Which is weird because I really thought there would be one of these on a forum for writing.
(if there somehow isn't then this can be it)

By cut lines I mean, Lines of dialogue, descriptions, or ideas that you removed from your writing presumably before posting it.

Example: 'and ending the spirit of sleep that dwells within the night.'
I didn't use this line as it's too poetic, and no one would realistically think it after waking up.

edit: please mention why you didn't use it.

Nice thread. Someday if I remember. Come up with quotes and dialogue, never wrote any out.

Seriously? How'd you even manage to break it? I busted threw a wall like "Oh yeah!" and only lost 2 durability. It's just 10 DP to make a new one, though so get on it.

Here's an Idea I cut, that I kinda regret because it's pretty interesting.

Dryads have two political factions.
One group eats meat because eating plants is cannibalistic.
The other only eats plants, because they're protectors of the forest and killing to eat is counterproductive.
Of course there's more arguments each side makes.

Its interesting to me because mythical creatures rarely seem to have differing ideas from each other to the point having factions. Especially so with nature orientated ones.

Unfortunately I dropped it in favor of using lesser mentioned mythology.

Cut it because the MC isn't using the oil himself and wouldn't be the first to notice it. So another character needs to bring it up. not very interesting but something to add to the thread.
